The Night Before Take Off

I am in Comfort Inn at Dulles airport waiting for my brother, Ken Tack, his son, Steve, and Steve's son, Kory, to arrive. We will then pack up our luggage with technology, female sanitary supplies, and school supplies. In the morning the 4 of us leave for Rumbek in South Sudan.

We have a very ambitious agenda: encourage and address the needs of the students and teachers at the school; teach business skills and develop business plans for agriculture, sewing, and internet cafe; encourage complete development of Nancy's Gardens (about 10 acres of brand new gardens), set up and open the public internet near the market square. In addition, there are the standard items of connecting with local leaders, complete the performance review of our amazing director, Justin Mathok, visit local churches, learn more about health, especially women's health, and so much more.

Stephanie Maker will join us soon to assist Kory with teaching computer skills to our students and teachers. Thank you all who have contributed so much to make all of this possible. What is happening there is truly a miracle and you are part of it. I will write more once we arrive in Juba and then in Rumbek. Please pray for us!
